The MH-DL18S Lithium Battery Level Indicator Module is designed to display the charge level of lithium battery packs ranging from 1 to 8 cells (1S to 8S). To configure the module for the specific number of cells in your battery pack, you'll need to adjust the jumper pads on the module.
Identify the appropriate jumper pad for your battery configuration (1S through 8S).
Short (bridge) the selected jumper pad by soldering it. Ensure that only one jumper pad is shorted at any given time.
For example, to configure the module for a 3-cell (3S) battery pack, locate the jumper pad labeled for 3S and solder it to create a short.
Important Note: Only one jumper pad should be shorted at a time to accurately measure the corresponding number of cells. Shorting multiple pads simultaneously can lead to incorrect readings or malfunction.
This configuration allows the module to correctly interpret and display the voltage levels corresponding to the number of cells in your battery pack, providing an accurate indication of the battery's charge status.
Operating Modes:
1 Bar: Battery voltage is above N × 3.3V (minimum charge level).
2 Bars: Battery voltage is above N × 3.5V (low charge).
3 Bars: Battery voltage is above N × 3.7V (medium charge).
4 Bars: Battery voltage is above N × 3.9V (fully charged).
If the battery voltage is below N × 3.3V, no bars will light up, indicating the battery needs charging.
(N is the number of cells in your battery pack.)
