Single plug in RS485 module using a Maxim MAX485 Chip. Manufactured by LC Electronics
Based around the hughly sucessful MAX485 low power device manufactured by Maxim Semiconductor. This module is easy to use and ideal for Ardunio based projects or any other microcontroller project such as PIC, AVR, ARM or even a Raspberry Pi.
With low bus loading, up to 32 modules can be present on one bus for multi node applications. With half duplex operation, high data rates and long bus lengths, this is an excellent solution for many projects requiring robust serial communications
Fully supported by many standard RS485 library files for easy integration and development using Arduino, C, Basic, Pascal and many other development platforms.
This module uses standard 2.54mm (0.1") pitch header pins so is perfect as a drop in part for PCB or breadboad based projects.
One end of the board allows connection to the RS485 bus using a twisted pair cable and also GND & 5V. The bus connections are also available on the fitted screw terminal block.
The other end has the connections for interfacing to your project with the RE, RO, DE and DI signals brought out onto the header pins
